We take a lot from society but what do we give back? When we look at the disabled, we put up a sympathetic face but what do we do for them? Yes, we all are good hearted people, we do want to help them. It is also completely understandable that we don't have time to go and personally donate money. What if you could donate money to them just by doing your daily shopping? I thereby bring to you, Myshare India, a Non-Profitable Organisation that helps you do the exact same thing. Myshare is an NGO that connects the donor to the donnie. Well, Myshare India, along with Exnora and Chennai Walkers Club organised a Book Donation Camp to help the visually impaired people to read........ You might wonder what the visually challenged have doing with reading. Well, if you didn't believe that they could study and educate themselves, I'll give you an example I saw. There are students from MIT, Anna University (In Chennai) who spend a couple of hours everyday, reading out books whose content is of the visually impaired's choice. It could be about anything- Engineering, doctor- anything they were interested in. I think that the fact that these people even with disabilities are striving hard to succeed in life, the feeling they have that they have to prove something to the world, something to themselves is what motivates them and that is what should motivate us also. I feel, that everybody should earn and deserve their place in the world. It is what they are trying to do and that is also what we should be doing- trying to earn ourselves a place in the world. I think, we should be able to help them live their dream - in the best way possible - to our fullest. That is why I volunteered for helping this campaign. I talked to many people, I announced over the mike, I informed many, the campaign went on very well and successful. We had so many press reporters from many local newspapers which was a very happy thing. But the best part about all of this was that we had two visually challenged people there, and there was this expression of joy and happiness on their face which topped everything else which happened that day. I guess that brought all of us to a very emotional state. We were all very happy to have helped them and I'm very sure, that they are going to achieve well in life. I'm very happy to have helped them in some way. After all I was the person who asked the questions at the start of this blog.
I have started to think .................
